A magnitude 3.5 earthquake shook Mumbai
The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued. The magnitude of the quake was 3.5 on the Richter scale. The quake affected 102 km north of Mumbai, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). No one was killed or injured in what became known as the Mumbai earthquake on Monday morning.The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued. On Saturday, four mild earthquakes were felt in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The quake was recorded from Friday night to Saturday morning, an official said.
The first quake was recorded at 11.41 on Friday night in Dahanu tehsil, while the second was recorded at 12.05 am in Talasari tehsil, with a magnitude of 3.6.
